Terms of Service

Last updated October 18, 2026

These terms cover your use of Formal Mind at formal.team and the Formal Mind GitHub App. By signing in or installing the app you agree to them.

The service

Formal Mind plans formal verification of Solidity repositories, creates a proofs repository for each project, and runs AI agents that write Lean 4 specifications and proofs and open pull requests. Formal Mind is in beta: features change, and the service may be unavailable at times.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub and are responsible for what happens under your account. Only install the app on accounts and repositories you are allowed to grant access to.

Your code and the proofs

Your repositories stay yours. The specifications, proofs and other content the swarm writes into your proofs repository are yours too. You give us the permission needed to read your repositories and write to the proofs repositories in order to run the service.

No guarantee of correctness

Formal Mind is not an audit. A proof only covers the properties it states, under the assumptions and models it uses; AI-written specifications can be incomplete or wrong. Review the specifications and proofs yourself, and do not rely on Formal Mind alone to decide whether code is safe to deploy.

Credits, plans and payment

The swarm's model usage is paid from prepaid credits, capped by the daily budget you set. Credits are charged in US dollars through Stripe, are non-refundable except where the law requires, and do not expire while your account is open. Plans bought through GitHub Marketplace are billed by GitHub on its terms. Prices may change; changes apply from your next purchase or billing period.

Acceptable use

Don't use Formal Mind to break the law, to access repositories you have no right to, to attack or overload the service or GitHub, or to resell it without our permission.

Ending use

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Formal Mind is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from exploits, bugs or lost funds in code it analysed, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and contact

We will post changes to these terms on this page; continuing to use Formal Mind means you accept them. Questions: github.com/formalmind. See also the Privacy Policy.
