Formal Mind (formal.team) plans and writes Lean 4 proofs for Solidity repositories through the Formal Mind GitHub App. This policy says what we collect, why, and who else sees it.
What we collect
- Your GitHub account. When you sign in with GitHub we store your GitHub user ID, username, display name, public email (if any) and avatar URL, plus when you first and last signed in.
- Your session. A cookie holds a random session ID. The session, including the GitHub token from sign-in, is kept on our servers for up to 30 days and never sent to your browser.
- Your setup. The repositories you plan, the generated plan, team size, daily budget and your projects.
- Credits and payments. Your credit balance and deposit history. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Repository content. Through the GitHub App, Formal Mind reads the repositories it is installed on and writes to the proofs repositories it creates (issues, pull requests, files).
- Chats. Messages you send to the swarm or the assistant. Project chats are also kept in your browser's local storage.
- Logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, time, path) for operating and securing the service.
How we use it
Only to run Formal Mind: signing you in, planning and proving your repositories, showing the swarm's progress, metering usage against your credits and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who else processes it
- GitHub: sign-in, repository access, and where your proofs, issues and pull requests live.
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and storage.
- OpenAI and other AI model providers: repository content and messages are sent to their models to write plans, proofs and answers.
- Stripe: payments.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while you use Formal Mind. Ask us and we will delete your account, setup and session data; payment records may be kept as long as the law requires. Proofs repositories belong to you on GitHub and stay there until you delete them. Uninstalling the GitHub App stops all access to your repositories.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS, tokens stay server-side, and access to repositories is limited to what the GitHub App's installation grants.
